On 27–28 February, leading experts in Inborn Errors of Immunity (IEI) gathered at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok for the IPOPI, SEAPID, Chulalongkorn, Erasmus MC Meeting.
The meeting brought together the International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies, the South East Asia Primary Immunodeficiency Network, the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and Erasmus MC, in collaboration with the Thailand Hub of Talents in Cancer Immunotherapy.
Day 1, “Immunodeficiency Today,” focused on Primary and Secondary Immunodeficiencies, poly-omics and DNA-methylation, and evolving vaccination strategies.
Day 2, “The Future of Medicine,” explored CAR-T cell therapies, RAG1/RAG2 gene therapy, and prime editing as emerging therapeutic approaches for IEI.
The programme concluded with “Intriguing Cases” from across Southeast Asia, highlighting regional diagnostic challenges, collaboration efforts, and scientific breakthroughs.
The meeting reinforced cross-regional cooperation and strengthened the bridge between cutting-edge research and improved patient care.
