We are happy to announce that IPOPI has made available a limited number of travel grants to support NMO patient representatives to attend the XVIII IPOPI Global Patients’ Meeting, taking place in Marseille, France from 16 to 19 October 2024.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants should be actively involved in their national PID patient organisation.
- Limited funding is available to assist 1 patient representative per NMO for those NMOs that have not been able to secure local funding to cover the expenses of their delegate.
- Both associate and full NMOs can apply for financial support.
- Importantly, for all NMOs and particularly for those NMOs that will benefit from IPOPI’s support, please ensure that your NMO is represented at all IPOPI sessions.

✈️ FLIGHT: One flight ticket (economy class). Airport: Marseille Provence Airport.
- Please note that the meeting is currently scheduled to start on October 16 at 13:30 and finish on October 18 at 18:00, with a social program on the morning of October 19.
🏨 ACCOMMODATION: 3 nights of accommodation, single occupancy (up to a maximum of 120 euros per night).
- Nearby affordable options include Citadines Prado Chanot (0.46 km from the venue), Hotel B&B Prado Velodrome (0.48 km from the venue), and Aparthotel Adagio Access Marseille Prado Perier (0.83 km from the venue).

🕒 DEADLINE: Applications are open from March 1 – 31, 2024
*Registration includes:
- Access to all scientific sessions (IPOPI sessions + ESID sessions that do not overlap with IPOPI´s programme).
- An invitation to Welcome Reception.
- Break refreshements and lunch on 16-18 October.
- Networking opportunities.

Application review and notifications: The IPOPI Board of Directors reviews all applications. All applicants will be informed individually within a maximum of two weeks after applications are closed.
Post-application instructions:
- NMOs with approved applications should book the flight and accommodation of their delegate per approved application.
- NMO delegates should register via the ESID website, during the early bird period.
- Upon completion of bookings and registration, NMOs should submit the respective receipts and a completed IPOPI claim form. IPOPI will reimburse approved applications based on the provided documentation.
- NMO delegates are solely responsible for organising all required visa arrangements. IPOPI assumes no responsibility for visa arrangements, except to provide an invitation letter upon request to facilitate access to a visa. Please note that the NMO Travel Grants will be reclaimed in the event of failure to meet visa arrangements in a timely manner.
