Join us for the upcoming Hard Talks session to discuss the role of flow cytometry screening for earlier PID diagnosis.

The IPOPI Hard Talks series is designed for clinicians, nurses, and patient group leaders interested in PID diagnosis and clinical management. Featuring interactive discussions and a lively debate between expert speakers, “PID Hard Talks” aims to address the more challenging topics and increase expertise on crucial clinical care issues.

The session will be moderated by Martine Pergent (IPOPI President) and Dr Nizar Mahlaoui (Chair of IPOPI MAP).

Meet Our Speakers

Dr Antonio Condino Neto, MD, PhD, FAAAAI, FCIS, is a distinguished physician and immunologist with a strong academic background, holding a PhD in Pharmacology and a Master’s in Immunology. Dr Condino Neto has held significant positions at prestigious institutions, including the University of São Paulo and the State University of Campinas Medical School. His commitment to the field of immunology is evident through his leadership roles in medical societies, such as the Latin American Society of Primary Immunodeficiencies. With a remarkable portfolio of over 200 publications and numerous research projects, Dr. Condino Neto has made substantial contributions to the advancement of immunology.

Dr Rita Carsetti trained in Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology at La Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), before discovering her passion for science during her postdoctoral training in the United States, at the M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston (Texas). She followed this with a second postdoc at the Max-Plank Institute for Immunobiology in Freiburg (Germany), in the department of Georges Koehler, who had received the Nobel Prize for the discovery of monoclonal antibodies. At the Max-Planck, she also became responsible for the flow cytometry core facility and later worked in the departments of Michael Reth and Thomas Boehm.
